GRE

GRE Quant preparation.

The GRE is the standardised test for US graduate programmes. We tutor the Quantitative Reasoning section, covering arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis at the level competitive programmes expect.

About the exam

What GRE Quant looks like.

01

Quant scored 130 to 170

Quantitative Reasoning is scored on a 130 to 170 scale. Top STEM, economics, and quantitative finance programmes typically look for 165 or above.

02

Section-adaptive

The GRE adapts at the section level: the difficulty of the second Quant section depends on performance in the first. Pacing and accuracy on the first section both matter.

03

Arithmetic to data analysis

Quant content covers arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis. The difficulty comes from question wording and time pressure as much as from the underlying maths.

How we work

Our approach.

01

Focused on Quant

We tutor the Quantitative Reasoning section. We will refer students to specialist Verbal and Analytical Writing tutors where helpful.

02

Strategy for the adaptive format

Sessions cover how to manage pacing and accuracy on the first section, and how to push for the harder second module that unlocks the top of the scale.

03

Diagnostic-led

We start from a diagnostic and prioritise the topics that are actually losing the student marks, rather than working through the whole syllabus by default.
